The Situation:

Germany is at the dawn of the implementation of a new funding instrument for research and development (R&D) activities. This funding scheme -the so-called 'Forschungszulagengesetz' (FZulG) will be implemented from January 1, 2020 onwards.
This new legislation makes it possible for 100.000 companies in Germany to apply for R&D refund by means of tax credits, up to a maximum of 500k € per company (depending on the overall R&D expenses).
Although new for Germany, for Ayming this kind of funding scheme is already daily business: in most of the countries where Ayming has presence, such an instrument is in place for already many years. We support companies (from small enterprises up to very large industries) to apply and optimize such funding schemes, it is one of the key expertise of Ayming.
Servicing existing and new clients in Germany on this forthcoming funding scheme is part of Ayming's strategy and will be implemented, starting today!

The Position:
To support Ayming Germany with the introducing and delivery of this service, we are looking for a Sales Manager with a proven track record, to start up the sales activities for our new Business Line 'R&D Tax Credits'.

Job Description

• Establishing new customer relationships, expanding the network in the sales area
• Creating contract offers for customers in cooperation with the technical specialist teams
• Participate in international cross-selling, providing substantial leads to our oversees offices
• Reaching individual R&D budget targets, related to sales and pipeline
• Participate in executing the sales strategy, with the aim to gain a large market share in this new market
• Focus on achieving sales goals, while fostering cohesion and collaboration among the team
• Assist Sales Director R&D in developing Sales methods in alignment with R&D product offering
• Lead the whole sales process from lead generation to signature, conducting contract and price negotiations
• Follow performance KPIs to secure the achievement of the sales goals
• Warrant good cooperation with the Delivery Teams (R&D Consultants)
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to transform client into brand ambassadors
• Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends
• Meet and exceed customer expectations by professional appearance
• Suggests innovative ideas to continue to grow market share
• Work in compliance with all policies and procedures within the company
• Support in marketing activities
• You have excellent command of German or are a native German speaker
• You are a hunter and get energy from new business development
• Previous experience selling complicated service (e.g. a number of year experience within consulting or related services companies).
• Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets
• Ability to communicate, negotiate and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
• Proven ability to drive end to end sales process
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills both in German and in English
• Preferably Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

• Excellent interpersonal-, decision making-, and project management skills.
